Zhao Song was born in Chongqing, Sichuan, China (1940-1996.2) and graduated from the Yunnan Art Institute in 1965. He has served as Secretary for Culture in Yuxi City, Yuxi Shi Wenlian as the full-time Vice-Chairman.
He has exhibited domestically and abroad. Artworks including: “Flower of the Miss,” “Love Me Tender Green Water” are part of the permanent collection at the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. Other artworks such as “Lotto” won the third prize of the Sixth National Art Exhibition; “Rongrong Moonlight” won the Chinese Grand Prix Cup National Chinese Painting Second Prize; “Flower Street Line” won the Third International Calligraphy Exhibition Silver; and “Warm Years” was designated by the World Chinese Economic Community for the “Peaceful Reunification Cup” Gold.
His style is best known for its meticulously, its multi-ethnic minorities in Yunnan inspirated style, his rigourous composition, flowing lines, steadiness, deposited bright colors that bring harmony, poetry, richness, and a fresh taste.
