Chen Chongping is of Han nationality born in Zehnhai, Zhejiang Province, China in 1940. He is a member of the Yunnan Association of Artists, Yunnan Nationality Paintings Institute, Kunming Paintings Institute, Vice-Director of Yunnan Watercolor Art Committee, Vice Chairman of Kunming Association of Artists, and a Vice Research Fellow of Cultural Centre of Wuhua District.
He has won numerous awards and has exhibited throughout China, Taiwan France, England, Japan, Germany, United States, and Thailand.
